Bakuretsu Tenshi 6May 31, 2004Title: Wash this Flower Garden in Blood! It turns out that the head girl of the Saint Luciana Academy is really a monster.
Jo kills the monster, but the monster's external brain jumps on top of her head.
Fortunately, Meg shoots the brain and saves Jo.
The End. * * * RATING: C OMG, it's a head-crab from Half-Life 2! Poor Jo -- double magnums are no match for a trusty crowbar (^_^) Game allusions aside, this was a rather mediocre episode -- although the monster was eliminated, nothing was done to stop this occurrence from happening again. It's clear that the academy teachers are poisoning the cafeteria food to turn their students into hybrid mutants, yet this issue is utterly ignored. More disturbingly, our protagonists didn't even attempt to find an antidote to cure their client's sick daughter (a victim of the aforementioned monster) Well, I guess the plot itself is trivial, since Jo and Meg have returned home safely. To be sure, this is the first time that Meg has actually done something helpful in this series, so this bodes well for future character development. Now that Meg has been established as a viable assistant, it's probable that we'll get to know why she sticks with Jo in the first place. Anyway, the next episode features gigantic crows, so it's likely that we'll *finally* see Jo's huge mecha back in action.
