Chrno Crusade 13February 26, 2004Title: Marionette Train Nearly four years after Joshua was originally captured by Aion, our three heroes (Rosette, Chrno, and Azamaria) *finally* set out to search for him in San Francisco. And so, they catch a train and sleep.
Unfortunately, their reverie is interrupted by the puppeteer-monster Rizel, who traps Rosette and tells her that her brother (Joshua) is in great pain. Rizel then attempts to kill Rosette . . .
but fortunately, Chrno and company arrive in the nick of time, and save Rosette. Back in San Francisco, Aion realizes that Rizel cannot capture Rosette anymore
and so he uses his own powers to kill Rizel. The End. * * * RATING: C Ok, this episode was actually quite good -- it's nice to see that this series is finally focusing on the Rosette-Joshua-Aion angle, instead of dwelling simply on supernatural events in New York (for *four* flaming years!!) Having said this, it was pretty cool to see Rizel again, since she is a sneaky villain, as opposed to our heroes, who use straightforward brute-force attacks. Anyway, aside from this, there really wasn't anything particularly spectacular, and I'd still like to see some more angst, so this episode gets a "C" (heh heh heh) * * * disagree? read 3 comments! * * * Related Reviews
