Chrno Crusade 14March 5, 2004Title: Inoculation Yay! Rosette, Azamaria, and Chrno are finally in San Francisco, home to Joshua, Aion, and . . . Satella.
Unfortunately, on the way to San Francisco, Chrno has gotten sick, so everyone decides to go to Satella's villa in order to recuperate. Satella and Rosette go out to the local pharmacy in order to find something, but they are stymied in their quest since no one has cold medicine for a demon.
Eventuall, Satella and Rosette go to a fortune teller, and she tells Rosette a magic spell that will cure Chrono. Rosette goes home, applies the spell . . .
and Chrono gets better. The End. * * * RATING: C Aside from getting all sorts of existential vibes on how demons use spells & the "Life Force" to recover (as opposed to normal human cold medicine), this episode really doesn't bring us closer to Joshua or Aion. Character development in this series is stagnant and, to top it off, Satella seems to be making a cameo in every single episode . . . It's really hard to come to a strong opinion about this series -- every single episode seems to alternate between really good and really bad.
