The End * * * RATING: B Ok, maybe this is just me, but nearly every series that brings in a religious motif is unusually appealing (Evangelion, Vampire Hunter D). Aside from that, I thought that the whole style of this series was pretty cool, from the glowing supernatural auras down to the 18th century atmosphere (with the old-school rotary telephones). Although the central plot boils down to a pretty standard theme (good guys against a super-powerful overlord, with increasingly strong minions until the series ends), I think the execution is superb. The humor in this particular episode was particularly funny (stuff about Rosette's drivng), and, honestly, I couldn't complain about the translations either, which were quite well-done.
