The military finally obtains the solvent for the Philosopher's Stone . . .

and after molding these into rings, the alchemists massacre the country of Ishbal.

However, one Ishal alchemist has survived, and accordingly, he takes his wrath out on our hero.

It is almost *impossible* to describe how intense this episode was -- truth be said, we've been given many hints that the Ishbal people were murdered, but finally the graphic truth of this is out in the open. In addition, it's harsh to see the truth behind Colonel Mustang -- for such a nonchalant individual, it's clear that his conscience has its share of demons.

Aside from this, there was plenty of excellent humor, superb voice acting, and excellent character interaction between Edward Elric and his younger brother. If anything, this episode redefines the term "must-watch".
