The End. * * * RATING: B It would be a lie to merely deem this title worthy of honor. Indeed, the intellectual rush that follows in the wake of this title is so potent . . . so intoxicating . . . that it beats the *mittens* off any series this season. Given that the suspense of this title was primed even before the Count started his vengeful machinations, it's enthralling to see him now in motion, making utter mincemeat of the Crown Prosecutor with unfeigned ease. Without a doubt, the Count's actions are cruel to his foes, but in this episode, we see a far different side of him, as a kind individual rescuing a young Haydee from brutalization. While it's quite intriguing to watch the character development of the main protagonists, it's *just* as interesting to watch Lucien and Franz hack into a government database to find more about the Count. The fluid focus between both major and minor characters does wonders to bolster the overall cohesion of the plot, and at the end, one is left with a world that is inimitably believable.
