The End. * * * RATING: B This episode was highly recommended by BluWacky, and after a quick look-see, it's easy to see why. Although this title isn't as complex as Naruto or as well-polished as Samurai 7, it adds a touch of whimsy that is quite welcome in the current season. As mentioned before, this episode is barely 10 minutes long, but despite the shortened time factor, each segment is full of plot development, suspense, and simply obscene color schemes. This particular episode set up a cliff-hanger between our heroes and the bass-voiced 'Special Team', and even though the conclusion is rather obvious, it'll definitely be interesting to see just how this conflict plays out. Truth be said, Mahou Shojotai is a singularly unique example of the shoujo genre -- it doesn't take itself seriously at all, and the sheer vibrance of the series (from the palette to Alice's voice acting) is quite contagious. While this title won't replace my current favorites anytime in the near future, it's definitely a fun vignette to watch -- the next installation comes out within the week, so look forward to it!
