Naruto 113December 10, 2004Title: At Full Power! Burn Chouji! In the forest, Chouji decides to take on Jiroubo alone.
However, he is quickly crushed by Jiroubo
. . . but Chouji regains his confidence.
The End. * * * RATING: C In an follow-up to the excellent prior episode, this chapter shows our genin team splitting up for the first time and leaving a member to deal with one of Orochimaru's elite. However, in lieu of concentrating on action and strategy, this episode places an emphasis on character development and flashbacks. As noted, this episode focuses purely on Chouji and his decision to fight Jiroubo alone. In one sense, this action seems quite foolhardy, given the massive latent force present in one of Orochimaru's crack squad. However, Chouji's decisiveness is a testament to his pride as a shinobi, and reaffirms his strength in defiance to the many insults he received in Konoha. All in all, it's thrilling to see just how strong Chouji's taijitsu is, but against Jiroubo, one can only wonder just how long this will last. In a battle between Orochimaru's level 2 curse and Akemichi's secret pills, there's no doubt that whatever the conclusion, the battle itself will be supremely intense. * * * disagree? read 97 comments! * * * Related Reviews
