Naruto 64January 21, 2004Title: The Clouds are Nice . . . The Guy with No Interest In a lapse in the chuunin exam, the apathetic ninja Shikamaru is forced to fight, even though he has no interest in fighting.
Although the match is initially in his opponent's favor, Shikamaru uses a devious strategy to bind his shadow to his opponent, thus stopping her from using any offensive tactics.
Subsequently, Shikamaru is posed to finish his opponent off . . .
but, instead, he forfeits the match. * * * RATING: B God, Shikamaru is seriously cool. Although Shikamaru is *extremely* intelligent, he's ridiculously apathetic. Unusually enough, he comes off as a much more likable person than Sasuke, who continuously plays off a "I'm-ten-levels-above-you" aura. In any case, Shikamaru is really quite unique among all of the other ego-bashing ninjas (i.e. Naruto, Kiba-guy-with-dog), and it's finally nice to see a slacker among such a gung-ho crowd. Aside from this, this episode definately worth downloading -- the animation is awesome, the music is memorable, and the suspense is superb. * * * disagree? read 11 comments! * * * Related Reviews
