RATING: B

As reiterated previously, Shikamaru is *obscenely* cool. Although it's neat to see ninjas defeat opponents with brute force (i.e. Sasuke beating Gaara with his "Chidori" attack), it's way more intriguing to see a ninja win through the use of calmly-applied strategy.

Additionally, while it was quite exciting to see Shikamaru trap all 8 ninjas with his 'Kagemane' shadow technique, it was also rather touching to see Shikamaru muse about how he *really* just wanted to grow old and play chess and Go. This episode should definitely be on one's watch list!
