Naruto 74March 12, 2004Title: Astonishment! Gaara's True Character! After sleeping for five episodes, Gaara morphs into an uber-powerful half-demon.
Meanwhile, the bug-ninja Shino is caught in a fight with Gaara's teammate Kankuro, who uses a gadget-laden puppet to attack. Although Shino uses a neat tactic to disable his opponent's puppet, he is hit by a poison gas bomb, and collapses soon after.
While all these things are happening in the Konoha forest, our Hokage is still trying to pull out Orochimaru's soul. However, the Hokage is still impaled on Orochimaru's sword, and it is uncertain whether he will have the strength to complete the soul-sealing jutsu before dying.
The End. * * * RATING: C Finally, we get to see what Kankuro is hiding in that mummy-wrapped package! Although Ithink Shino is great at strategetic maneuvers, Shikamaru's fighting style seems to be more photogenic. In any case, with regard to the Orochimaru/Sarutobi battle yesterday, it's unclear why the Hokage didn't make *four* copies of himself, instead of three. First of all, it's obvious that each replication can sacrifice itself for to use Shiki-Fujin (i.e. Hokage's replication used Shiki-Fujin to kill First and Second Hokage), so, if the Hokage had four replications, he could use three to destroy Orochimaru and save one replication as a backup. In a best-case scenario, this method could save Sarutobi's life (since one replication doesn't actually use Shiki-Fujin), and, at the worst, this method would merely allow two Hokages to take on Orochimaru (thus lessening the risk of getting impaled) Although the main drawback of the above technique would be the necessity of sharing one's chakra four ways (replication strength = 25%, not 33%), but, nevertheless, it seems that the advantage of four replications definitely makes up for the 12% loss in replication strength . . . * * * disagree? read 3 comments! * * * Related Reviews
