Naruto 81May 3, 2004Title: The Morning Fog Returns The Konoha villagers need a new leader. They ask Jiraiya to be the Fifth Hokage.
Meanwhile, the Konoha village has been infiltrated by two renegade S-rank ninjas -- Uchiha Itachi and Hoshigaki Kisame.
These ninjas are confronted by Asuma and Kurenai, two of Konoha's elite jounins. However, Asuma and Kurenai are no match for the intruders. Fortunately, Kakashi comes to the rescue.
The End * * * RATING: B Time and time again, this series always draws me back -- the plot is so *rich* that it's ridiculously easy to get caught up in the tiny details. Anyway, it seems that Tsunade will be the next Hokage, once Jiraiya finds her. It's pretty clear that Jiraiya will be taking Naruto on his trip, so we're probably going to see the storyline branch out, with half the action in Konoha and half the action elsewhere. In any case, it seems that the Sand Country also has to look for new leader, since Kazekage was evidently murdered by Orochimaru. Personally, I'm pretty surprised by this, since it means that Orochimaru single-handedly murdered *two* of the best ninja masters in the world -- Saidame (from Konoha) and Kazekage. But this becomes even more disturbing when we hear Orochimaru confess that he isn't as powerful as . . . Uchiha Itachi. Now *this* is weird. How in the world can Itachi be more powerful than someone who has defeated two Kages? Is Itachi smarter? Stronger? More evil? Gah, I'm so confused. I mean, why did Itachi stop at just killing his own clan? If he decided to renounce his village, why didn't he try to crush Konoha like Orochimaru tried to? And now, of all times, what the hell is Itachi doing back in Konoha? He's really polite and didn't bother to kill Iruka while infilitrating the village, so . . . is he a good guy now? Since Itachi is more powerful than Orochimaru, is he going to beat the crap out of Kakashi? *head splits open* Meh, I need a nap. * * * disagree? read 10 comments! * * * Related Reviews
