Naruto 89June 26, 2004Title: The Curse Orochimaru and Kabuto finally catch up with Tsunade.
In exchange for healing his arms, Orochimaru promises that he will bring Tsunade's lover and brother back to life.
In the meantime, Jiraiya and Naruto are still looking for Tsunade.
The End * * * RATING: C After all this time, it's clear that Tsunade is worthy of being a part of the legendary "sannin" -- not only is she wickedly powerful, she seems to be the *only* one who can remove a Kage-level binding curse. However, despite her power, Tsunade seems to be vulnerable to the previous loss of her lover and brother. In this situation, it seems that Orochimaru has a huge amount to gain -- after all, if he regains his arms, he regains all of his power, thus allowing him to destroy Kohoha. However, this also seems like a godsend to Tsunade -- Orochimaru alluded that Tsunade was responsible for the death of Nawaki and Dan, so perhaps this would heal the deep emotional wounds that Tsunade bears. In any case, it's obvious that the storyline is converging a lot faster than expected. Tsunade is supposed to be the Fifth Kage of Konoha (according to Jiraiya), but here she is, about to heal the very person intent on destroying the village. It's definitely a moral quandary of the highest order, but I guess we'll have to wait *two* weeks to find out what happens :) * * * disagree? read 22 comments! * * * Related Reviews
