RATING: B

In the past, Konohamaru has been a rather obscure character -- despite his efforts, he is never Naruto's rival, and he has never been known to stand on his own will, instead relying solely on his grandfather's title as Third Hokage. This episode fully reverses this ethos, and we now see Konohamaru as a person walking forward to carve out a name for himself.

While Konohomaru has plenty of character development, Tsunade also changes in this episode as well. Although Tsunade swore fealty to Konoha in Naruto 96, this episode shows Tsunade finally accepting the drudgery of day-to-day tasks and bearing responsibility for maintaining Konoha. Interestingly enough, this change of heart isn't accomplished through Naruto's actions, but rather by bearing witness to the personal struggles of Lee.

Aside from all this, it's quite nice to be back in Konoha in the company of all and sundry. As a sort of recollection, we got to see a touching flashback of the Third Hokage, and as a homage to Naruto's past, it was . . . amusing . . . to see Naruto's classic Sexy No Jutsu.

In any case, the storyline is moving along quite well. The next episode marks the 100th episode of Naruto, and, for the fans that have followed this series from episode 1, it'll definitely be something to look forward to (^_^)
