A samurai guy with a long sword kills the mother and father and burns the house.
Several years later, the only person who really understands and takes care of Tetsu is his guardian Okita.

Although there was little action or humor in this episode, it did have the classic "I-killed-your-parents-and-there's-nothing-you-can-do-about-it" motif, thus permanently excluding it from all criticism.
