The End. * * * RATING: C Just as pointed out in Ten's excellent review, this episode provides a segue from depths of court intrigue and places us in the center of a heroic rescue attempt. However, despite the mind-bending odds faced by our protagonists, the story is ridiculously . . . spineless. At the center of this hitch is the weak-willed Ukyou -- although his actions are indeed nefarious, there isn't any cohesive focus to his schemes, and it's rather *pathetic* to watch him suddenly vacillate from one evil plan to another. The lack of a strong villain deprives this title of a concentrated driving force, and given the deaths of several of our heroes, the group dynamic is sketchy at best. Although the storyline is quickly wrapping up loose ends, there's no denying that much of the initial strength of this series has been lost. Nevertheless, the upcoming chapter promises a heaping helping of action, which ought to somewhat compensate for its limpid accouterments. * * * disagree? read 17 comments! * * * Related Reviews
