Arg, was tricked by R. into going to a featured glass exhibit at the art archives! In all honesty, it *was* rather nice (see pictures below)

    

. . . but the most interesting thing was an Apple Macintosh at the information kiosk that had the CPU built into the monitor frame! I wasn't able to get a picture of it, but it was a most elegant hack -- I shall have to go back and check it out in the future.

Anyway, it is frightfully cold in Urbana now! December is actually my favorite month of the year (carol rounds, winter break, tons of food), but still, 20 degrees is simply unacceptable:

In any case, was talking with R. about this, but it's amazing how much fun grad school is -- I mean, like . . . studying at Grainger until 3 AM with math group, and then playing multiplayer Halo with them until dawn . . . being invited to homes of professors and watching cheesy anime titles with their kids . . . being able to wake up at 11 am every other day . . . marathoning half-a-season of 'Lost' with dorm-mates . . . geez, sometimes I wish this lifestyle could last forever (>_<)
