Marathon in the ERJanuary 28, 2008Argh, had to stay overnight yesterday at the hospital while shadowing. Usually I'll bring a medical journal or some USMLE questions to pass the time, but this time, I came with a PDA stocked with twenty-odd episodes of Naruto -- which I dare say, is one of the most enjoyable anime titles to marathon. It's got great steaming gobs of jealousy, hard work, and raw ambition, which exemplifies about 90% of what medical school is really all about (95 percent?) Anyway, no real update this week. Right now, there's this wonderful class called 'Tutorials' three times a week, which is taught by Dr. K, chief resident of internal medicine -- who is crazy awesome. The man has seen everything, knows everything, and has done everything there is to do in medicine. One day, I'm going to be like that . . . and then become Hokage (muah ha ha ha)! |
