Congrats to Eric!

This is awfully late, but massive congrats go to E. for completing his quals in CompSci -- we are most proud! School has been quite rough, so apologies all around for the relative lack of updates. I'm planning on defending my proposal in late May, so wish me luck (^_^)

With regards to the picture above, I had a chance to go to a talk by Dr. Jorge Cham (of phdcomics), and must say that it was one of the *best* talks that I've ever heard -- the man knows. J. went to Dr. Cham's talk at Northwestern, and she concurred, so, all in all, I highly recommend going to one if his talks if you get a chance.
