The Manor

Aaargh, now that my operation is over, I'm now back in school, just in time for my PhD preliminary exams (T_T).

Although I'm glad that I'm back in Urbana-Champaign *waves to posse*, there's nothing like being home -- my Mum is a professor of early-childhood psychology, so she brought tons of my favorite books from elementary school (i.e. Roald Dahl's Matilda, Madeleine L'Engle's Wrinkle in Time, etc.), and my awesome sister brought me pulpy paperback sci-fi tomes as thick as my head, and, for nearly 3 days, I got to do nothing but curl up in my favorite location (sunspot on first-floor couch) . . .

. . . and read, and read, and read some more. I really should have been studying for prelims/med school instead, but honestly, I don't think life gets much better than this (^^)
